The Morden Arms

This Weekend at The Morden Arms

What a weekend we have in store to see in February, and bid adieu to that ol' miser January.

Friday 31st January

Yeeeeehaaw -  we have a Country collection as fine as cream gravy in The Twangers. Bringing their unique take on southern classics, these fine ladies (and outnumbered guitarist!) harmonise and have fantastic fun on stage, which an audience can't help but catch. Country chaos, where Dolly Parton meets The Blues Sisters - bring your boots and dinero, we'll provide the Moonshine and prepare to have a darn-tootin' good time! 9pm.

Saturday 1st February

Saturday, of course, sees the start of the Six Nations! With intervals of great music, come along and see Wales vs. Italy, followed by France vs. England in a blockbuster starter to this brilliant tournament. If rugby ain't your thing, we still have great beer and atmosphere to keep you happy.

Sunday 2nd February

Finally, Sunday is the farewell gig of Hats of Stupidity. Before one member traverses the globe, we get a chance to hear their brilliant range of reggae, rock and folk roots. Headed by Morden legend, Gordon Robertson, their sets are always an eclectic journey through the familiar to the obscure, with brilliant guitar work and vocals. Lou Reed meets Australian folk and Max Romeo follows Jagger. A real treat for Sunday to top off an exciting weekend. 4.30pm.
